“Music is my passion,” says Billy Hufsey who has dazzled stage, screen and television with his incredible talent as a musician, singer and actor.

“My entertainment career began with music and led me to developing my other talents,” he says. “Now I’m putting my full energy and focus back into my singing career. Music, beyond all else, is my first and true love.”

Billy’s musical pursuits began at a very early age. Growing up, he watched his older sisters during piano lessons and later studied for 10 years. He wrote his first song in the 6th grade, began playing the guitar in junior high, the saxophone in high school, the trumpet and drums shortly thereafter.

While pursuing his true passion of music, he was simultaneously becoming an accomplished athlete. He lettered in High School football, became an undefeated welterweight Golden Glove boxer as well as a 2-time State Kickboxing Champ.

Billy was well on his way to becoming a world-renowned athlete when an injury ended his Olympic dreams. He then turned back to his first passion, the arts, voraciously studying dance, taking voice and acting lessons, and later graduating from the Music Institute of Technology.

Billy has been one of the few performers to maintain a long-standing successful career in the entertainment business due in part to his many creative talents, his athletic abilities and his incredible drive and work ethic. He’s a world famous actor of stage, television and film as well as an athlete, a dancer, a musician, a songwriter, an author and a singer. Of all of his creative pursuits and accomplishments, he’s always been drawn back to his first love… music.

The accomplished entertainer says, “Acting in a character role is an expression of someone else’s vision. You can bring part of yourself to it, but it’s not as satisfying as music is for me.”

Billy’s now set to release his first complete CD of original pop/rock songs entitled, “Right This Time” on Zoey Records. This CD provides an outlet for Billy to share a depth to his soul that’s deeply personal and intimate in its expression.

“My music is so personal,” he explains. “When I create a song, it gives voice to my soul, reveals my essence. When I give interpretation to an existing song, I identify with it and the version expresses a piece of my heart.”

Billy’s 90’s dance single, “Contagious”, for Vision Records, was met with enthusiastic response. The much-anticipated release of his current CD is expected to have an even greater response worldwide.

Performing music to live audiences is Billy’s true delight. For many years Billy’s singing talents have been applauded throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Most recently he starred in Tease, a sexy musical comedy on the Blue Note’s Insomnia Stage in Las Vegas, Nevada. He also created and starred in two shows, Dancin’ to the Hitz! and Hitz, Dancin’ to the Oscars at the Flamingo Hilton in Laughlin, Nevada. He also starred in the musical production Reunion, at Canada’s famous Stage West Theater both in Toronto and Calgary. Other starring roles in musical theater include: Razzle Dazzle, Bell Bottom Fever, and many others.

Billy’s multiple talents and striking good looks have always landed him in the spotlight. In the television series Fame he played the singing and dancing high school heartthrob Christopher Donolon. The television series is still in major distribution throughout the United States and Europe.

Later, while playing the role of Emilio on daytime TV’s Days of Our Lives, his singing talents so impressed producers that they asked Billy to write and perform several songs for the show. One, “I’ll be There”, was penned by his character who sang it to his beloved Jennifer. “Only This Time”, showcased Billy’s vocal talents again in a scene that should have been his wedding day, but in true soap fashion, wasn’t.

Billy’s other television credits include appearances on: Married with Children, The Young &The Restless, Love Thy Neighbor, Baby Talk, Webster, O’Hara, Rags to Riches, Rocco’s Star, Righteous Apples, Hot Pursuit and Clarence & The Ottaway.

On the big screen, Billy starred, or was featured, in: Tomcats, Cold Night Into Dawn, Magic Kid, Zero Tolerance, Round Trip to Heaven, Off the Wall, and Graduation Day.

Away from the spotlight, Billy is an entrepreneur, author, real estate investor, motivational speaker, avid golfer, pilot, and founder of “Steppin’ Up”, a non-profit organization to help economically disadvantaged youth. Billy remains very close with his family, most of which still live in the town where he grew-up, Brook Park, Ohio.
